Picked up the new Alien franchise-focused issue of EMPIRE Classics. Despite some really glaring mistakes (a caption labelling a regular Alien from Cameron's film the Queen, another mis-identifying Barbara Coles as Sigourney Weaver ) I'm quite enjoying going through it. Mostly old articles from past issues with a few new ones sprinkled in, but as I've not read any back issues of EMPIRE anyway, the recycling doesn't bother me.

Not technically the last thing I bought, but the last thing that has arrived. This magnificent beast!

Can't believe I finally got a copy of it!

Surprisingly, not as much as you might think. I found a private seller in Serbia who sold it for €15. With bank fees and everything (and believe me, there was a lot 'everything', including missing money, having to get refunds from bank charges, delays with access to banking, etc), it came to about £24. Not the cheapest book in the world, but considering it's about £70 in most online stores, it's a bargain.

Yeah, that's actually pretty decent. Sounds like it was a major ballache.

All Is Lost - Bluray

Loved this film. Literally zero dialogue but Redford absolutely sells the sheer doom and gloom of his plight. Great film.

It was indeed terrific. I wanted to watch it again immediately, but I'm forcing myself to wait a few months first in order to maintain its impact.
