And it ends even better than it began. The last Part in particular is an intensely moving look Adams' later years. And they actually had the audacity to work the line "For God's sake John, sit down!" into the dialogue during a dramatically intense scene. It totally worked, too.

It's awesomeness is beyond my ability to describe.

I used to watch (Roman) warrior type movies for that sort of action. When we got the Spartacus series everything changed.
It totally delivered and now everything else in the genre seems lame by comparison.

I'm a bit of a Gladiator nerd as I did a lot of research on them. OK, in Spartacus, the violence is really comic book, but the kit they use is surprisingly accurate. They had some balls to put the Murmilllo and Thracian in their actual helmets, thus obscuring the two leads (OK, we have "in-helmet cam" and they lose the helmets at the earliest opportunity, but still, kudos for that.

I really love the faux Shakespearean language they use - I've just finished Season One - I've not seen the rest before, so looking forward to it.

I love early Frasier. It was still good at the end but the earlier seasons are definitely the funniest.

Rest of the series is pretty great except those last episodes are a bit "sad".

I enjoyed it.  Now to see if it turns out to be as good as it was popular.
