Doctor Who S02E04 "The Girl in the Fireplace"

One of the greatest episodes in the entire show. It was good to watch it again; had been awhile. A beautiful story full of sadness and love, brilliantly written and brilliantly acted. Reinette's story is one of the most heartwrenching in the entire show. The Companion that wasn't, but almost was.

Season 2: Episode 4

UNF! After last season I had no idea where they were going to go. And then it dawned on me that the only way it could carry on is by the writers doing something I knew I would hate. But... it works really well. And this season is actually a lot darker so far than the first season. There is a definite tension with certain mysterious new characters and all the "good" characters are treading grey areas. It's building up to something (aside from the obvious) but what that is remains to be seen.

And Connie Nielsen is beautiful.
