Even if CGI looks bad I personally still don't know the mechanics of how it works, it's not as simple as pushing a button as many people who joke about it insist. CGI can be just as awe-inspiring and captivating as practical special effects. It's all about how you use it.
Cvalda, bring up Transformers if you will but you know as well as I that those CGI effects are all ground breaking, you bring them up because the films are bad. That doesn't mean the CGI is bad.
Pacific Rim might just be a great film. WITH AWESOME, GRAND SWEEPING SHOTS OF GIANT ROBOTS AND GIANT MONSTERS FIGHTING ALL IN GLORIOUS CGI.
