the fact that there is people who enjoyed Prometheus, Godzilla, Green Lantern or Transformers leaves me with almost no hope for humanity....
Likewise with the fact that you bunched Prometheus with that lot.

Believe me, I wish it wasn't on the same list... :_(

I love the 1998 Godzilla and I do like Transformers (the first one) a real lot.

I AM THE BANE OF HUMANITY.

Don't worry OZ you aren't the only bane to humanity, we're both in the same spot. :o

The only films out of the lot he mentioned that I enjoy are the Transformers films, but I don't enjoy them in a "these are genuinely good movies!" sense, I just enjoy them as popcorn flicks and guilty pleasures.

I haven't actually seen Prometheus, though.

I like Godzilla 98 and the first Transformers. Transformers 2 can eat me, though.

I'm pretty sure a live-action Transformers film could be a fantastic sci-fi movie if a decent director was put behind it. Transformers has a really rich mythos that deserves to be explored.

The first film was fantastic.

The sequels just didn't really understand the real potential of it all.

But they had more 'splosions and slow motion boobies! :o

And more 'bots as well! Cause everybody said there weren't enough in the first! :o

This.

I'm not a huge TF fan (save for the live action movies, the WFC games, and what I've seen of Prime as I have made it known beforehand) but one of my friends is and has shown me some stuff which only solidifies that statement right there.

It did make sense to have more robots as time progressed, most series I remember had 4-5 autobots and 4-5 decepticons/predacons at first, only for their number to progressively increase as episodes went by.

I think the story for the second one was pretty damn cool, it just needed a better writer and general direction (and less toilet humor). Third one instead suffers from brutal lack of pay-off and a not-exactly bright plot (Megatron sure has complicated plans).

Good thing Pacific Rim is coming to deliver us a giant robot (suit) film with a competent director! ;D
