Found this on DA ... Looking smooth.

Delicious.

GODDAMN that's f**king PERFECT. Prometheus pisses me off even more now.

It's very nice, but it clearly owes as much to Prometheus as it does to ALIEN, if not more.

Agreed. It's like a nicer version of the suits in the film.

It is in fact a suit design as the artist describes it; but it would work as a living Pilot too.

To an extent. I think it's the best version of a suit I've seen to date, but it still lacks something IMO for a living creature. Personally I always envisioned the jockies as slightly impossible creatures, who you can't look directly at when they are living if you hope to see anything that makes sense. Then again, I'm a Lovecraft nut.

Its more-accurate-to-the-original proportions make it look like it'd be difficult for a bald albino to fit in.

Those by the way are some of my favourite interpretations... by Doug Williams:

I like the notion of long, grasshopper-esque legs for this thing. Avoids convenient pillar-like humanoid ones.

I've been playing around with visual cheats for some of the creatures I've been drawing. Suggestions of legs, torsos that just continue into serpentine bodies and the like. Although being that I never intend for them to leave the two-dimensional format, I can kinda get away with it. One concept I was toying with the other night is instantaneous, biological 3D printing, so the creatures change and flow as the situation dictates.

those are some of the best i've seen (while still true to the origonal Jockey form) very alien looking
