So would I, but without those things it wouldn't be Mass Effect as we know it. They could definitely take the template of it's gameplay to something else, but it wouldn't be recognizable... which is why I find it so strange when Queen asks if I think the game would be better off without other alien races.

Actually, I think Mass Effect is a lot like The Elder Scroll's games. Like, TES inspired this type of game. So, yeah, it can work in other situations.
