Yeh. Though they look a lot different. They look like 2 big sharp crystals you stab yourself with.

Not much different than AvP2's.

Well AvP2 just had two big knives lol

Hey! Stabbing yourself became useful in that game. :p

Let's hope they deliver.

Really hope they deliver as well. Quite alot riding on this.....don't even want to THINK about what would happen if the outcome of the game is along the lines of Rogue Warrior and ShellShock 2.....

it will deliver successfully.  Only nitpickers will miss out on the fun.

Even if it's no better than 1999 AVP, people will still love it.

At least it'll be better then P:CJ, AVP:Ex and AVP-R. :)

I think it would help if the Marine weapon spawns in the map are not preset.
The types of weapon that spawns in a spot should be random, otherwise people will exploit
memorizing the spots with the best guns and it would just turn the maps into a single track routine.

lol    MAG developers are desperately trying to get more people to buy MAG.

http://kotaku.com/5431310/mag-open-beta-is-just-around-the-corner

but everyone knows it sucks.  Even the fans admit it.   No wonder MAG fears AVP,
they rush the game even more releasing it a month before AVP.
But smart gamers know not to waste their money on MAG.  They might play the beta just
because it's free, but definitely they know their money is best saved for AVP in February.

AvP2. Quarantine. Mini-Gun.

yeah see that's what I mean.  MP should avoid routines in its design.   Weapon spawns should definitely randomly choose what type of weapon spawns there.  Maybe even random weapon spots would help too.

I disagree. It would put the marines at a huge disadvantage if they go for the minigun to find that they're actually just getting a shotgun. Keep the weapons in the same spot.

I'd give them all the weapons or their class-weapons so they can start playing after they respawn, not looking for their weapons.
