For shame. It's one of my favourite comic books right now. Shame to see their run end this way...

oh well.. at least there's still a few extra issues left from them. :P

Preacher: War in the Sun is pretty brilliant so far. It's much better than Dixie Fried in my opinion.

I caught volume 1 and 2 of The Activity.  More grounded in reality (no superheroes) and based on a intelligence unit whose main purpose is to provide the best intelligence possible for the United States tier 1 operations (mainly Delta Force).  The Activity itself actually exist, I believe the tactical teams that the comics follow do not (dun dun dun).

It is pretty interesting.  And supposedly it is close to truth if you believe in the incerpts of the been there done there guys that always introduce the volumes.  I don't know about that, but I will say that some gear I've seen in the comics way before I've seen it anywhere else.

Like the Magneto helmet.

I think it is funny that certain characters look like actors though.  How do they avoid the trouble?  The former Delta operative looks like the Mentalist, and the former Civil Affairs chick looks like the woman from Fringe.

Well, volume six of Preacher ended on one of the most bizarre, surreal things I've seen in a comic. Seriously.

Preacher: Salvation

The main plot of the series goes on something of a hiatus here, with Jesse bunking down in a small Texas town and taking up the office of sheriff. It really says something that the comic can take that long of a breather and still be damn good. Oh, and Odin Quincannon is easily one of the most f**ked up characters in the series so far.
