Well, I just finished watching them all in glorious BluRay on the ps3. OMG!! Alien could have been released yesterday, so much clarity. I loved the directors cut of Alien 3. Never seen that version before and it was so true to the book in every way. Tied into the series much better than the theatrical release.

You do realise David Fincher has disowned ALIEN³, right? It's the Special Assembly Cut with added ADR finally. Wished it was scanned at 4K though instead of using the pre-existing HD masters.

So after an argument with the Mrs, I finally got my hands on mine last night, 2 weeks early. Couldn't bring myself to watch any of the films though so I just watched the enhancement pods.

BTW, where do I find the Burke coccoon scene?

The argument wasn't about that though! I knew I was getting it anyway, but she just came downstairs and gave it to me last night then stormed off. Then later in the evening she said that she was dissapointed that I'd opened it and watch it, and I was like "WTF did you expect? I'm a geek!"

I think I read that it's in Disc 6.

Also there's a pic of it in The Official ALIENS Movie Magazine copyright 1986 O'Quinn Studios on p.40 .

The caption reads "In a scene of a poetic justice(that may be cut from the final film) Burke (Paul Reiser) endures alien agony. Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) confronts him."

OMG havent watched disc 6 yet. Is it an actual scene or just talk about it? I always knew about this from the novelisation of the movie.

Disk 6 on the Anothology has the actual scene.
