Male masturbation to 300-hating might have something to do with it.

Producer Mark Canton says that Xerxes will not be the final title, and that Snyder will probably not return to direct.

don't really need the 300 sequel. zack snyder needs to make his dawn of the dead sequel.

New title is 300: Battle of Artemisia. Noam Murro or Jaume Collet-Serra might direct.

http://www.deadline.com/2011/06/xerxes-pic-down-to-noam-murro-and-jaume-collett-serra-for-300-spinoff/

QuoteAs for those directors: Murro's sole directing credit is the Sarah Jessica Parker-starrer Smart People for Miramax, but his calling card for big-scale movie making is his commercials work on campaigns that include the Halo video game. He's a five-time DGA-nominated commercials director, won two Golden Lions at Cannes and last year signed a deal to develop to direct the next Die Hard film at 20th Century Fox. Collett-Serra directed the sleeper hit Unknown for Warner Bros, and he's prepping to direct Red Circle for Working Title and StudioCanal. He's also developing the vampire tale Harker with Appian Way at Warner Bros.

I like it  ;D 300 was good, sequel would be cool.

(rebooting Superman!!? again!!?  ::) I haven't been keeping up with this story but I get the feeling no one will ever picture anyone as Superman after Reeve ever again, he made that role his own and no other version will beat it)

There's no need to compare Snyder's Superman to the old movies, they are very different. Not to mention that the old movies had plenty of flaws themself.

Not really comparing films just saying I don't think anyone can fill Reeves boots in that role, some of the best casting ever for a film, Reeves was Superman :)
