My most prized possession:
An original 1979 final draft ALIEN script--it's a one-of-a-kind, 32 year old piece of cinema history.
HISTORY:
Originally owned in the eighties by Fox employee and prop archivist James Latta (Yaphet Kotto and HDS's signatures are to him). As you can see, the script cover has been adorned with an embarrassment of riches in terms of signatures from cast and crew, all authentic. Included with the script when I obtained it are:
Sigourney Weaver ("Ripley" -duh-, signed 1988)
Tom Skerritt ("Dallas", signed 1991)
Harry Dean Stanton ("Brett", signed 1988, possibly early 90s)
Yaphet Kotto ("Parker", signed 1993)
The signatures acquired since I've had the script are:
Veronica Cartwright ("Lambert", signed July 9th, 2011)
John Hurt ("Kane", signed October 1st, 2011)
Ivor Powell (line producer, signed October 19th, 2011)
Brian Johnson (SFX supervisor, signed October 19th, 2011)
The only member of the cast left to sign the script is Ian Holm--and he WILL sign it someday
(Technically Bolaji Badejo as well, but I'm not crossing any fingers)
