Yeh I'm in the process of making a custom Praetorian now. I think I might use the AVP:R warrior as a base just because it is a little larger than other Aliens and has great articulation. The down size is the sculpt will need a lot of work.

what kind of material should i use like magic sculpt epoxy sculpt  im kinda new to the whole custom thing

Regardless of accuracy or detail, this was probably my favorite Predator figure until I got the NECA 1/4 scale guy in the mail this morning.

It was part of the Kenner Alien/Predator 10-inch 2-pack, it was an exclusive at Toys R Us.  I've seen the Predator For what it is, the Predator is really a pretty good figure.  I recall it being around $25 for the pair, I think I've had it for about 15 years.  The Alien, on the other hand, was pretty much only vaguely recognizable as an Alien.  As such, this guy is currently standing behind my Predator heads, while the Alien lives in my kid's room and tries to eat Ben 10 figures on a regular basis

There's another version that was sold separately as Ultimate Predator, but the paint job is nowhere near as good if you ask me:

That image does show a bit more of the face detail that my camera flash obliterated though.

lol, if my ex-girlfriend only was like that...insteed of being so cheap that she always had to ask what i payed for the figs, and after hearing it, speak at least one negative comment towards spending money. i'm actually happy that its over . i have my freedom, yay!
