The characters in Requiem were forgettable but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy it.

I remember Dillon, Clemmens, 85, Murphy, and Andrews. Bishop and Ripley go without saying.

It did grin right after it tore Murphy (?) to pieces.

I made sure to watch for that.

He bares his teeth. There's no real grin to it, it's a threatening gesture.

The Alien looking at Jones, now that's a smile.

The two quotes have nothing to do with each other.

SM and my last posts were about the smile the Alien makes looking at Jones in the catbox. The "unfilmable things to Lambert" is in response to Drago Morph insisting no Alien was as brutal as Spike.

Not a scripted scene no.  Essentially it just killed her.  However from the way it's presented it could be construed as a particularly nasty and ultimately fatal rape.
