There was a study last year saying that there was the possibility that without major economic changes that the human population would actually start falling.

HOWEVER, the study had not went on long enough to find out if this would actually end up being the case.

Sure, it's not like we'd be missed anyway.

Haven't I been saying on this site for years that we need to cut the human population?

I remember an argument with SM where he (with all sincerity) told me everything was fine because we as a species were building...

...up.

Building up what?

The latest figures show that the population is expected to swell to 11 billion or more over the next 85 years:

When you factor that in with the slow accumulation of climate change over the next century...

Haha how arrogant, people aren't The Earth. It'll be fine. We're merely a blink in its timeline.

Well we're getting there: we're building up. We're heading in the right direction.

No I remember. I was like "There's too many of us, we're destroying natural farmland and fertile land to make way for our paved crap houses and soon our wants will outstrip the supply" and you said "nope we're building up".

Not in those exact words but you mentioned apartments and high rises.

Well at least we know Japan stopped having sex with each other long ago, I guess that will help with the population decline.
