Eternals

I really liked this for the most part, but a lot more could have been done with the Deviants, and I'm a bit mixed on the ending and post credits teasers.

Does it really make a difference though ?

Sure. Batman's experience with kryptonians was not exactly a positive one as the opening shows.

That hard cut to Iron Maiden always throws me.

Not sure the one shot perspective necessarily added anything but it was definitely cool. Good movie all around.

Mary Shelley's Frankenstein

I normally like Kenneth Branagh, but all the frolicking and mugging and overbearing use of an otherwise good score sinks this one. De Niro was good, though, when he didn't have to do dumb shit like play tug of war with Branagh over the bride. I'm not a huge fan of Coppola's Dracula, but this would have been a better movie if he had directed Darabont's script.

American Gangster

Not my favorite Ridley film, but a pretty good one. Elba never survives a Scott movie, does he?

Wolfen (1981)

This has been on my to-watch list for years so decided to finally watch this.  Not a bad film with the musical score by James Horner.  Some of the music cues in Wolfen sound slightly similar to Aliens.

The Duellists

Stunning debut film for Ridley.
