The Remains of the Day

Excellent British period drama, with Hopkins at his best.

The Boys from Brazil

A nutty but entertaining thriller.

It makes me genuinely sad we never got an Expendables-style movie when R-rated action flicks were in their prime. I guess the big names all had too much box office rivalry going on at the time.

And weren't a lot of those big 80s action movies made by different studios/production companies? I can see that having been an issue.

Dr. NO (2.5/5)

They really made use of the theme song in this one.

Puts on shoes: plays the bond theme.

Uses the phone: plays the bond theme.

Takes a crap: plays the bond theme.

Spiral: From the Book of Saw (2021)
Watched in two parts. Second time I fast forwarded with only 10-15 left because I just wanted this to be over.
Worst Saw movie in the series and overal a bad movie.
Chris Rock's acting wasn't bad but that's about it.

Proper comedy.
Below all the piss, poop and puke, there's some original and creative humour which often get's overlooked.

Not a fan but I can understand people liking this.
And you gave it 3/5, which is a reasonable score. Weird would be 5/5.

Is that the first one with the Rock? I enjoyed it. Wasn't a patch on the original but it was an entertaining film.

Prince of Darkness

One of Carpenter's best, needs a thorough re-evaluation like The Thing has had. And that ending shot is just perfect.
