Shut In

Naomi Watts has the perfect wide eyed look of horror.  This film is a bit of a drag, though. Felt way longer than 90 minutes.

Weekend at Bernie's II (1993)
I wish I was at the pitch meeting for this movie.

Savage Streets (1984)
Not great, not bad either. Typical 80's stuff.

Student punk "He's got the clap. He's burning up."
Principal "Then go f**k an iceberg."

The Seventh Day (2021)
Exorcist flick with Guy Pearce.
Lots of up and downs. Concept had potential but the execution wasn't all there. Overal pretty average and I'd only watch it if you wanna see a Guy Pearce movie.

Justice League: Snyder Cut
Finally watched this baby properly last night (in one sitting) with my brother in law and his best man.

Wow. Day and night between Whedon's patch up job and Snyder's opus.

Truly epic. Look if you don't like Snyder's style you probably won't change your mind with this viewing. For this DC fan this original vision of the film hit everything out of the park. I'll be honest enough to admit that whilst I have enjoyed the MCU for the most part I have no vested interested in those characters - and even at it's peak the Avengers films always felt safe (even after the snap). I've always felt in Snyder's films no one character - no matter how big - is safe.

Long? Yes. Very long however the payoffs are worth it and some.
Every character and story arc is ramped up to something we'd expect of the Justice League.

Need to unpack it all (probably another re-watch soon) but I do know I want more of this universe.

Snowtown

A bloody hard watch. Even more so knowing these horrific murders took place a little north of where I live here in Adelaide.

Interesting to note that whilst watching the film I'm going this score sounds a lot like Jed Kurzel's `Medlab' piece from Covenant. I was totally clueless his brother directed the film and also that he was Australian as well!

Dream a Little Dream (1989)
Nice average 80's flick with Corey Feldman.

The Money Pit (1986)
80's Tom Hanks is awesome, movie itself not that much.

Started `Memory: The Origins of Alien' last night.

That intro is kinda creepy. Some nice insights into Dan's pre-Alien life to begin with.
