Yeah, that's nothing compared to those guys the Rex apparently killed despite being inside where it couldn't fit.

Quote from: Master Chief on Apr 14, 2020, 03:05:56 AMJust watched the Lost World and to this day, it still bothers me how Peter Ludlow ran up the stairs straight into the T-Rex's mouth.

I don't really get why. He's freaking out and the stairs are (I assume) the only exit. He's making a break for it.
haha I get it, he's freaking out, but running directly into the Rex's mouth bothered me.

He used his strong forelimbs to reach inside the bridge of the ship, pull the last remaining crew member out, and eat most of him.  Not before said crew member put the ship in full throttle and a collision course to the San Diego harbor. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

He doesn't ??? He tries to flee around it, that's why it has to turn before it can grab him by the leg and drag him back.

Besides, no one ever accused Private Cowboy of being smart.

Going down inside of a dark ship where large carnivores just killed the crew, doesn't exactly scream intelligence to begin with.

Nevertheless, he was in deep ****, unarmed, and there was only one exit. You can't expect the poor idiot to just stand there and get eaten.

Haha he was an idiot. Trying to setup base camp on game trail says it all.

What did you think of it?
I quite enjoyed the rather slow pacing and then absolute oddball from out of nowhere subplot. Strange but enjoyable film.

I didn't care for it the first time around, but it's grown on me alittle. The only thing that still really bothers me is the way they handled bigfoot. The angles, slow-mo shots, sounds and the costume itself were far more cheesy than they should've been.

Had they taken the creature a bit more seriously and invested a larger portion of film on the hunt instead of the flashbacks, it would've been aces for me.

Wow, the early days of Project Mayhem were weird.

Yer I agree. As someone who is interested (obsessed) with serious Big Foot research that too did seem a bit cheesy.

King Kong 1933

The execution of so many special effect techniques so masterfully in that film still leaves me in awe.  Incredible.
