The Happytime Murders

This was amusing enough, but not nearly as funny as it could have been.

Liked it a lot. Good humor and great action. Not too much better than the first, but a good flick nonetheless.

Inherit the Wind (1960)

Excellent dramatic piece with great performances. You get to see two Jekyll/Hyde actors go head to head, and it's glorious. Also, Blind Al sings the songs.

I especially loved the spoof James Bond opening credits.

"That's adorable" But we are going to go with Peter, who has both types of diabetes.

The other Joint Second best Star Trek Movie. Patrick Stewart is just incendiary, especially in the Ahab scene

"X-Force isn't real, it's just a marketing scheme by Fox to keep Josh Brolin working!"

Isle of Dogs

Normally I'm not a Wes Anderson fan but I did find this movie pretty good. I was a fan of Fantastic Mr. Fox, the animation style is awesome and the voice cast does stellar work.

I'm not really a fan of Trek but I genuinely love some of the (pre-reboot) films, with that being my favourite. I especially like how it does away with the future utopia stuff and instead presents people as more realistic shades of grey. Seeing Kirk being outright racist (xenist?) towards the Klingons was an especially nice touch; imperfect heroes are so much more interesting and believable (and it's not like he didn't have good reasons).

That was on TV over the weekend (assuming that might be where you watched it?) and I ended up sitting through the end even though I've seen it a bunch of times before. Great movie. Always nice to see Stewart do some legit acting. The Borg look bloody stellar.
