The Stupids (1996)

A family film, but it is actually funny! Decent writing, good acting with a few cameo appearances... The Christopher Lee part as Mr. Sender is worth 10/10 alone!

overall: 7/10

Project A-ko - 1986.

Classic anime that I first caught on Anime Saturday on the Sci-Fi channel back in.. 1998 I believe. Then I saw it again sometime around either 1999 or 2000. I have the DVD of the film, the 2005 re-release. Popped it after ten years of having last seen it. So good to get back to seeing these characters again.

Gone with the Wind

Okay, that was great. It definitely got better once the war started and everyone stopped being so damn chipper all the time. My three big take aways from the movie:

1) Rhett Butler is the man. 8)

2) Scarlett is a dirty ho.

3) They cast the biggest block of wood to play Ashley, seriously. Thank God Leslie Howard didn't play Dr. Frankenstein.

My Neighbor Totoro

Just a lovely, charming film. I also can't help but compare the bigger Totoro to a Snorlax.

The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974)

When Robert Shaw gives you an order, you f**king follow it. Badass movie. 8)

Kiki's Delivery Service

Well, that was much more enjoyable the second time around. The story also spoke to me on a more personal level this time. Also, I don't give a rat's ass about what subtitle-only snobs say, Phil Hartman is the man in this movie. 8) Also, I suppose it helps that the more controversial dialogue additions were removed for this version.

Rocky

A definite classic, can't think of one significant thing I didn't like about it.

Rocky II

Not quite as good as the first, but it definitely picks up in the second half. I look forward to the incoming 80s cheese. 8)
