Children Of The Corn 2 thru 8 (Kiramid needs to join me in this crusade ;D )

I dunno, I'm still traumatized from watching the entire Hellraiser series...

I'm constantly intrigued by these films but I just can't bring myself to try to watch them.

If you want to avoid the pain, just watch the first two.

I'm not sure I'll get on with the gore. I'm not a fan of gore-porn.

I wouldn't really describe them that way. The first is very much a f**ked up family psychodrama with some demons in it.

Is the Producers Cut of Halloween Six close to the original script they had that would have taken it in a different direction? ie no H20 or Resurrection

Yes, it's the version that more closely resembles the script. As for a new direction, it's ending couldn't really be followed up on, anyways.

Spoiler
The Producer's Cut ends with Loomis getting the Thorn curse passed on to him, implying he's going to be Michael's new guardian or something of that sort. But Donald Pleasence died right after he finished filming, so they almost had to rejigger things either way.

Just went to see the new Paranormal Activity. Those of you in the UK know how bad the fog is now so that made me an atmospheric trip to and from the cinema. The screen we were in had no heating. Was an interesting experience.  :P
Yeah the fog was bad it must have been a weird experience.

I've only ever seen the first three Children of the Corn films...
Thoughts on 2 and 3? Worthwhile (even if for a few minutes of the film)?

I actually enjoyed them myself. There are some great and bad sequences in both, but I think they work. The third one even features a young Charlize Theron ;)

Now that was one cool piece of low budget sci-fi. And talk about one f**ked up ending. :o Now if only the robot had killed Comic Book Guy lookalike before he started that awful song...

Dust Devil

Well that was certainly an interesting watch. Robert Burke made for a cool monster/villain, and Zakes Mokai is always great. There was also some damn solid desert photography in this, really captured the desolate feel of the area.

Both great Underrated films. There's some great bit in the original script as well that didn't quite make it into the film. Have you read the sequel script called Ground Zero?

Which version of Dust Devils did you watch, cuz theres three of them out there I think.

Last film I watched was Date Night with Tina Fey and Steve Carrell. Features an early appearance by Gal "Wonder Woman" Gadot lol

I haven't read that script, but I'll be acquiring it. I do have Stanley's script for Dr. Moreau, though.

And I watched the Final Cut of Dust Devil.

That's the one I watched as well. With his commentary on it as well.

I've been trying to get a copy of his Moreau script for ages, but have been unable to download it

Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials

First 25 minutes are fine, then..... zombies !

Don't care what plot device you have, but they're still zombies.

Still average.

7.2/10

Dune (1984). Hearing that the film was meant to have been longer, but the Producers made Lynch go back re film some stuff and add narration, it came out very well
