Ever seen Martyrs?

This might be my first time I've watched them back to back like this.

Excellent sequel.

Need to rewatch this as I wasn't the biggest fan when I saw it. Not because it wasn't a good film but it didn't feel like a Mignola/Hellboy film in tone rather more a GDT fantasy film. In hindsight and having read a LOT more of Hellboy I think my thinking was perhaps a bit off.

Yeah, Mignola eventually covers the elves/fair folk fading, but in a very different fashion.

M3gan

Not a bad film. Obvious riff on the Child's Play series, though with a sci-fi bent. Vaguely creepy but more goofy than anything else. Entertaining, though.

Blade

The Blackening
I was really looking forward to this, but i didnt really enjoy it at all bar one or two bits. I could see what they were trying to do but when the characters aint likeable it falls flat

Communion

It turns out Pulp Fiction wasn't the first time Christopher Walken had a metal object up his ass. ;) I also find it deeply amusing that Streiber wanted the movie to be a serious character piece, and hand picked the director of Howling 2 and 3 for the job.

Interesting film. Not at all what I was expecting. Though it's ostensibly a Spanish language horror based on Catholicism, it's actually more a study of the human condition and how religion affects it.

Asvins
Interesting Indian horror that's kinda weird and relates to mythology. Has a really cool musical theme that starts up partway through and continues evolving until the end.

Frankenstein (2015)

An interesting take on the story, with some uneven execution here and there.

I saw The Day After Tomorrow last night. There isn't really any other movies that are similar to it. 2012 is kinda similar but the iceage concept is pretty unique.

Still great effects. The subplots with the hospital I didn't really like that much.
