At least in Canada, before Alien3 came out, Fox released a 3-pack VHS set of Alien, Aliens, & the Making of Alien3... and yes, the latter is included in the Anthology blu-ray. I remember it had the 'Kane descends into the egg silo' music playing over the end credits (unavailable elsewhere at the time), and included the theatrical trailer.

Some folk working on the film told Tristan that Covenant could suck. Wayne says it's a possibility because at the end of the day, he's not going to know how well it turned out until the release. How could he?

I wouldn't read too much into it. Pretty much any film has the potential to be ruined in editing. It's like saying, "this plane we're on could technically crash at any time."
