The Thirdborn got into Pokémon and I watched some Youtube vids trying to work out how to play.

They may as well have been in Swahili...

That reminds me of when my nephews tried to teach me to play D & D in the 1980's. I was used to rolling dice to move a piece around a board putting a hotel on the space.   or identify a killer it was Miss Scarlet in the Library with a candle stick.

I know very little about Pokemon. Are they considered Aliens? ;)

And kudos to you for wanting to play the game not just fund it. 8)

You can play a digital version on the computer for free, and the tutorial is very straightforward.

That's a nice idea for a reboot.

Pokemorph: Gotta catch 'em all!

David is an android kid from Pallet Town, a rustic Weyland Yutani colony. He is the main character, a synthetic boy who has always dreamed of becoming a Pokémorph Master; just like normal kids do.

As soon as he turned ten minutes old, after being activated for first time, he rushed to Professor Ash's Laboratory to get his very first Pokémorph: Xenochu.

Together, they start an epic journey of adventures across the Kanto planet and beyond! The Pokémorph (or Xenomon) are collectible organisms with acid blood and the ability to incorporate genetic characteristics of other creatures. They're parasites, and as such they've been using the native animals as hosts, giving birth to a whole variety of breeds and shapes. According to legends (which may be canon or not) everything started with the crash of an alien wishbone-shaped spacecraft, near to Leviticus 426 lake. Pokémorph are commonly captured and trained by humans, primarily for companionship or to be used in popular fighting competitions.

This is probably the easiest way. Should walk through it, and there's AI to play against.

And let's not turn this into a furry thread. lol

Ended up going to a local shop (turned out there was a tiny winy little one in my town) and we spent £60 on a starter, 2 planeswalker decks, sleeves and boxes and played a couple of games last night. Mrs seemed to enjoy it!

Have been teaching my little brother how to read for almost 2 months now. It's so exciting to see him finding random words and slowly reading them aloud
