Jon followed Craster as he was leaving his camp with his newborn son in his arms. We then saw him leave the boy out in the woods, where Jon saw a White Walker pick it up and carry it away.

You dont really get to see the White Walker,its really dark and you can see a dark figure of it picking the baby up.They look much bigger than a human though.

Just got the books 1-4 in the mail.

I'm looking forward to reading them even though the reviews of the last several (A Feast for Crows/Dance of Dragons) have been mostly abysmal.

I guess it had to be done. 

I liked both of them, but Dance of Dragons was really great. I can see why some people may not like them coming off of the third book but i still enjoyed them alot.

Some interesting speculation I heard the other day about Jon's mother.

It's Lyanna Stark. Prince Rhaegar had impregnated her. To conceal who the child actually was, Ned took Jon in as his own bastard. This would make more sense for Ned, as he doesn't really seem like the kind of man who would father a bastard. If this is true, Jon would have Targaryen blood in him, meaning he could be one of the three heads of the dragon.
