Question Regarding 'Show new replies to your posts'

Is there any way to hide something  you posted in long ago? For example I posted in a thread and I have no interest in it any longer...is there a way to hide that post when I click show new replies to your posts?

I don't but I am also interested so this is like a semi-bump.
