I did. 

It becomes a jpg on it's own when I upload it. It even said png before I clicked on the upload button, it comes out a jpg.

One thing though, could you upload the image with Imgur, so it doesn't get resized? (Photobucket has this bad habit of resizing pictures)

As long as you save the image and then upload it wherever else, resizing won't be an issue.
