Nightmare Asylum

I only have the DVD, and unfortunately I can't access my editing software because its still on my old laptop.

But still, even the deleted scene don't fix everything. One of my biggest problems was nobody finding out about the Trilobite in Vickers' area of the ship. It was a nice touch in the deleted scene to mention the "thing squealing next door", which leads me to believe that Scott filmed something with either Shaw telling them or with the crew finding out on their own, and I would absolutely love to see that.

New Pokemon games.... I fear the worst
We gotta be optimistic. Even if the last few haven't been so great.

I am actually offended by Bowie's new album cover. It's so horribly lazy that I'm pissed off at it.

Question: What's the difference between the man from Prometheus interacting with the Space Cobra and the man from Alien sticking his face in an unidentified hatching egg?

Just something I observed last night.

While I agree with you that no one will acknowledge sticking around big ass eggs is pretty damn stupid, the guy in Prometheus should have backed up when the snake got aggressive.

Which I can see that confusing people, but the guy in Alien pretty much put his face in an egg of unknown origin, which to me is just as outlandish.

When it opened up and hissed he did become more aware and started creating a little distance.

Yeah, true that. I mean, I don't have a problem with it at all. I think I would be pretty dumb-founded if I were the first one to ever run into an alien, too. Plus, him being a studier of life, he wanted to study it. You can't do that running away.

And you just basically answered your own question. Right here you're acknowledging that John Hurt showed at least some sort of caution, no matter how small. In Prometheus, Milburn or whatever his name was, he didn't show any sort of caution at all, the guy was basically wanting to play with this thing. I know some people argue that his line of work would get him excited to see a completely new life form, but that is not an excuse when you are basically looking at a space snake. The fact that it resembles a snake should have been enough to just be careful about it, not to freaking play around with it without thinking about what dangers it could possibly pose.

I believe he was talking about Milburn, no John Hurt.

Lol whoops...funny that both the egg in Alien and the Hammerpede in Prometheus open up and hiss.

I mean Millburn (Prometheus) and Kane (Alien).

Kane from Alien literally shoved his head inside that egg.

I just thought that Ridley Scott was mirroring that sequence (and thought process) in Prometheus

But he was on the cocaine during Prometheus! Remember, Ridley was f**king ready to direct a movie about MONOPOLY! Where some guy gets sucked into the world of Monopoly and has to fight off the evil Parker Bros.

THIS IS NOT A JOKE!
