The Avengers: Endgame (2019)
What made Inifinity War so entertaining was the fact that all superheroes from all franchises got together to beat one big baddie... and failed. Now they go back in time to undo everything that Thanos did, making all the deaths seem pointless. Someone dies? Ok, let's go back in time and save them! It's a very cheap plot mechanic. It's still an enjoyable watch, but now it's more of the same that we've seen countless times before. The end battle is a direct copy of the first one and we all know how it's going to end this time. 6/10
The Post (2017)
Good acting by Streep and Hanks, but the story is plodding along without any sense of urgency. It's still an interesting story about the politics of the Vietnam War and the resistance of a then small newspaper getting silenced by the big bad government. Nixon and Trump sure have similarites, the way they view the free press. 7/10
The Ninth Gate (1999)
I love this movie. It has an interesting, occult subject and the legend that the books are supposedly co-written by the devil himself makes up for a great mystery. Depp and Langella do a great job and the soundtrack is fantastic. The abrupt ending stops this from getting top marks, but everything before that is superb. 9/10
