It's a well documented thing for people to get into a cycle of noticing specific numbers on clocks. You see the time so much throughout the day, but you really remember the ones where it's a number you deem significant. For example, when I first started using the internet, I kept seeing 13:37 everywhere. Seeing 426 all the time is a sign of how much time I spend thinking about the Alien series, and not much else, I suspect.
