I have my laptop back from repair.

My Grandmothers funeral was yesterday. It was a beautiful service, exactly what she wanted. Randomly the Vicar started going on about Mr Holland's Opus lol. The wake was good as well. Talking about memories and everything and also there were relatives i hadnt seen in 12 years, so Grandma still bringing us all together.

Made me happy that she's at peace and we can move on and remember at the same time

At least its over.

Thanks man (Yeah i do. Watched Happy Gilmore last night so that helped lol)
We'll be scattering her ashes at some point soon. That will be a nice epilogue as well

Glad you can move on now, I felt the same when a close relative passed. When they were alive, I spent my days so worried but once I heard the news, I actually felt relieved that they are finally at peace now.

Two weeks sober for me.  It's a small babystep on the long road to recovery, but despite the withdrawals I'm actually feeling pretty good today.  I got a new short story published, and the reviews have been pretty good, and the fact that I've had a few bad days, I haven' resorted to painkillers or booze.  So yeah, I'm getting there, but it is gonna take a long time.  But I'm confident for the first time in a long time.

Oh and I've said this before, but without this forum and all you guys, I couldn't have come this far.  I adore the whole lot of you pirate mother f**kers.  Eternally indebted to you all.  Thank you so much

Going to watch my first ice hockey game on Friday! Been meaning to go for ages and we were just happening to organize a trip out with the old school friends and someone suggested ice hockey and I was all over it. Really looking forward to seeing them again and going.
