And they use motion blur to disguise it.  :P

We see things in real life with motion blur. That's not so much a 'disguise' as it is an attempt to more closely imitate how our eyes perceive reality.

But I digress...
Last response, I promise.

I agree with the caption; I can't see a huge difference. It's definitely there, if I look for it, but it's nothing much.

The motion blurred ones looked better in both cases, though.

I see it almost instantly, but yeah, motion blur definitely looks better for both frame rates. Trust me though, you'll be able to feel the difference right away when you start playing the games on next gen consoles. I believe almost every game, for the next gen, is aiming for 60fps, which is good awesome.

EDIT: I suppose it is a lot more difficult to see the difference in a gif, but oh well.

Get a better screen.
Easy now.

There was actually an option in the first Bioshock to up the framerate at a chance of a slightly slower performance (never happened in my experience with it), and it looked fantastically smooth. I wish that option made it into Bioshock Infinite, but it may have been too much to process with the wide-open spaces and everything, seeing as it was already pushing current gen capabilities.

I'm sure he'll find that he's been cheated when he comes back here, and figures out that he spent $300+ just to test that gif.

They had that option? That's pretty cool, as consoles rarely provide you with any options for that. What do you mean by a higher framerate, but lower performance? Do you mean that it lowered the qualities of other shit?

Oh, just double checked, it wasn't to lower the performance, but a possibility of lower texture quality-- again, never noted a difference. But yeah, it's the only console game I've seen offer that, and it looked/played great.

I'd imagine it'd play great. Framerate always comes first.

Oh I so hate those bastards who always play on low in MP even if they have 2000$ rig just to gain unfair advantage
