I still see no f**king difference between 720 and 1080.

Get a better TV 

TV's a top of the line HD set.

720p is stunning on it. So is 1080p. Whatever difference there is, it's so small to be negligible unless you're physically looking for it.

On PC you can notice the difference from 1km. On the consoles in 90% of the games the difference between 720p and 1080p is just slightly.

Consoles output lower quality pixels so of course 720p to 1080p isn't going to look much better, especially if you play on a cheap lcd tv.

Well, I guess you could be right, but you should guess most people wants the most for their moneys, so they feel they deserve the best graphics available for a next-gen console...

I'm not just talking about games. Movies, TV shows, everything, the difference is only there if you look for it.

In which case, you're playing games or watching shows for the wrong reasons.

There is no "wrong reason". Many people looks for games or movies (especially shit movies like Transformers) for the special effects, and they want to see them in their full potential. I'm not even a SFEX whore and have discovered myself checking closely the little details of the graphics when I'm at the cinema.
Of course I'd prefer whatever media I paid for in the best quality available.

2007 is the year where games pretty much hit graphical perfection for me. Halo 3, CoD 4, BioShock, all absolutely stellar looking games, and all of them hold up damned well today (well, except for BS's lip-synching, that was always a bit off). All the advancements since then, sure, they've been very nice, but they've never added too much. We've gotten to a point of diminishing returns, where major upgrades in graphics lead to only minute differences in visuals.

Uh, yeah, no...

Right...cause the millions of people/massive community constantly bitch about the graphics and stuffs.

To me, a slight graphical increase will do nothing to improve my enjoyment. Using BF4 as an example, the PC's biggest advantage compared to PS3 and 360, is that its 32 v 32 and not 12 v 12. Not it's superior graphics.

Why would you mention Minecraft?  On the PC version of Minecraft, you can install mods to make it look amazing, make it run at higher fps(100 for me), and have an even higher player count....

Yeah, I know. Player count is the most important part... why would you even bring that up? Gameplay always comes first, but it doesn't hurt to have amazing looking games as well. For some reason you guys like to think of superior graphics as a negative thing, when it's coming from a PC.

No. What I'm saying is, I don't care about the tiny technical aspects of the graphics. 720 vs 1080 is completely pointless, because when you get down to it, in the middle of a game, you're not going to notice the difference. If it looks good when I'm playing, then that's all I care about. Be it Marathon or BioShock: Infinite, as long as the art direction and aesthetic of the game is strong, I'm good.

As for 100fps, that's just useless. Your eye can't even see 100fps.
