I've never really been a fan of the Gibson scripts, but the recent adaptations have really brought it to life in a way that's been pretty enjoyable. Henriksen does sound quite old in this, but it's okay once you get used to it. Some of the big violent scenes with people transforming into Hybrids are laughably underplayed.
But overall it ended up being a fun listen - despite the fact it really emphasises how much more work this script needed. It's very uneven, and there's no obvious hero until the final act when Hicks takes on the mantle. But he's often absent throughout the first half, and I think this displays that he's really a sidekick rather than the hero. Spence, Tatsumi, Fox, Welles, Jackson, Rosetti, Sterling, Walker and Halliday are all underdeveloped and almost interchangeable (okay maybe not Fox and Welles). Tully has a bit more to work with, but not much.
Maggs and co did a pretty good with the material they had to work with.
