After seeing Prometheus yesterday, I just had to watch this again. Still an excellent, near-perfect film, and easily one of my favorites ever made.

I'm sure there's a scene where they ripped the helcopter straight out of the REmake opening FMV, and superimpose it on a desert.

I think that may be my favorite after Dirty Harry. The part near the end when Harry starts walking towards the villains draped in darkness is badass.

It certainly matches the visual style of the first film the best, and has some of Callahan's best lines. It is also the only other film in the series other than the first film that is not an action film, so that sets it apart as well.
It can sure "make my day." if you get my meaning.
