Kung Fu Hustle

Not bad. Not sure it was worth them years of hype, but it was a good time.

"NOW YOU WANNA GET NUTS?"

My absolute favourite thing about that movie is when the Joker tells him "You ever dance with the devil by the pale moonlight?" and Keaton's reaction is all wtf, but then when you watch the movie again knowing that he's heard those words before, that same reaction suddenly reads totally differently.

Yeah there's some great subtle moments like that, which almost unscripted. And usually subtle and Tim Burton are two things that don't really go together.

Batman 1989's like a house brick, not an ounce of any subtlety, but it is effective.

Unsane

The whole "filmed on iPhones" gimmick felt completely pointless, but otherwise this was a pretty solid psychological thriller.

Total Recall...

... Great f**king movie! It genuinely seemed like everyone enjoyed making it.

High Plains Drifter

One of the few westerns I really like. Love the surrealness of it. Plus it's probably the closest Eastwood's ever come to playing a villain; it's great seeing him be a wilful dick to the townsfolk

Yeah, even Jenny enjoyed it, and it's really not her kind of film.

I always enjoyed that one, and its uniqueness among the Western genre.

Incredibly Violent, but quite slight with the story

Hope it was the Ultimate Cut - adds so much to that theatrical version.
