That definitely made sense.

Babylon

It gets off on the wrong foot but is overall pretty great.

Quote from: Kradan on Dec 31, 2022, 04:31:58 PMI still am of an opinion that Vader's unmasking scene from ROTJ holds more of an emotional gutpunch than "I am your father" from ESB

Still get tears in my eyes at that scene.

I really enjoyed this one too.

Empire Strikes Back

This is not just a great Star Wars movie, it's a great movie in general. Each time I watch it I find something more to appreciate about it

Had a relaxing NYD of watching films. Some better than others.

Exorcism at 60,000 Feet is pretty trash. Some good comedy but surrounded by crap.

The Sinners is OK. Decent horror mystery, though it does have a completely pointless subplot brought in near the end.

Impetigore we're watching right now, and it's already the best of the three.  Indonesian horror done really well. Highly recommend it.

One of the few westerns I really like.

I'm not sure I'd call it a great movie, but it's a riotously entertaining one.

While I disagree with the scores,  I agree with the sentiment. Watched Glass Onion earlier and thought it a step down from Knives Out. Still a good film, but I felt the first act was too long, and as a whole it was more uneven than the first.

I mean, I just thought it was half the film the first was honestly.

I think Rian Johnson's really hit or miss for me, I either find myself really engaged or narcoleptic.
