It was called the "Dog" Alien because that's where it came from in the Theatrical Cut. It wasn't until we got the Quadrilogy Assembly Cut we saw it come outta the Ox.

IMO it dosent look like ox alien it is to small. Thats why i concider it to be dog alien.

The "Runner" I guess. But because it had already been known for years as the "Dog" that name stuck.

See this is why we can not call it simply Dog Alien. Nearly all of us dislike the name Runner. Quad Xeno or Quad Alien does not sound good either.
