The Fate of the Furious (2017)

Just your average big-budget action movie. Today's special - Siberia.  ;D

The whole betrayal plot gets slightly interesting later on and there were a few creative ideas (not the dozens of cars swarming like a crazy child's playbox, the smell of franchises fetting stale) but the Jason Statham vs. Dwayne Johnson/The Rock thing didn't rise to the expectations in the least.

7/10

Great movie.

If you liked it, I'd recommend you check out The Long Good Friday if you haven't already. Another awesome oldschool Brit gangster film.

The Beast Within: Making Alien

First time watching the full length doc, and it was pretty interesting. There's one sound bite that caught me by surprise, though: (paraphrasing Scott here) "I will only do another science fiction film, if I have a really good script." ha ha HA HA ha ha HA... and I thought my jokes were bad.

The Collector
I'd been wanting to see this film for ages as Horror in the UK only ever seems to show the sequel. Ive really enjoyed it. Sure its Torture porn in places but for the most part its excellent

Blood Father

A solid action thriller, with Mel Gibson being as badass as ever. There are also some fun cameos from William H. Macy and Michael parks. Diego Luna is just about the least intimidating drug dealer ever, though.

Enjoyable film. Watching Mel back in this type of role got me thinking he could easily take up the mantle of an aged Max again. I love Tom Hardy but he's not my Max ;-)
