Birth control is a wonderful thing. Just saying.
Yup.
But of course there are the good ol' religious folks who think its evil and should be made illegal.
I don't think there's enough of them to worry about it.
True, that's beginning to not be a problem. It's still irritating though.
To quote Neil Degrasse Tyson:
"God is just an ever receding pocket of scientific ignorance."
Yes, well, it's good to know Neil's spending his brief stint at pointlessness providing pointless soundbites for a pointless debate.
Good Lord, atheist inception!
Actually, it just led off of something Bill O'Reilly said. "Tides come in and out, you can't explain that, it must be god." the guy he was interviewing simply stared, not believing what he had heard. Eventually one thing led to another and they asked Neil about this, who said that science can and has explained the tides, and several other things. He said that as science unlocks more and more clues and answers, the amount of stuff you can say "God did that, there's no other explanation" to, recedes. The quote followed.
I wouldn't say it was pointless, bill just didn't think through what he said no blurted something out. Neil wasn't trying to be obnoxious or add fuel to the fire of a pointless debate, they asked and he gave his opinion, which I happen to agree with.
I respect your opinion though, as do other atheists. I don't hate religion or god, just dislike the religious people that stop progression. You have not given any evidence that your like this, and therefor, I respect your opinion and have no problem with it. I'm sure Neil wouldn't have a problem with you either.
I just liked the quote. I apologize if I offended you.
