Indeed, and a few years later (in Terror of MechaGodzilla to be specific), he bled heavily when Mecha shot his rockets at him.  And it is strange he doesn't bleed very often.

I'm looking forward to that as well.  It reminds me of the Final Wars Godzilla design but a little bit more demonic looking.

Well of course.  He was designed that way to look much more "kid friendly" or "parent friendly".  One of Toho's many disaster plans to get the youth to like Godzilla.  Going away from their original plan of having Godzilla be feared.  They made him into more of a child's savior.

My favorite Godzilla movies are the ones where Godzilla is the bad guy, mainly the Heisei era of Godzilla films.

Same here.  The special effects and the monsters were a lot better in those movies compared to the Showa series (of course).  What are your favorite movies of the Heisei series?  For me, it's Godzilla 1985 (The Return of Godzilla) and Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah.  I liked his roar and the evil look and portrayal of Godzilla in those movies.

King Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla II are personal favs of mine. Both revolve around mankind trying to rid the world of Godzilla.

I actually think the Kiryu movies were pretty bad.

Never was a fan of Kiryu, and I didn't really like the design of Godzilla after 1995 up to 2004.  Too fat and I thought the spikes were overkill.

I think Kiryu was awesome. The movie wheren't that good but he was cooler then the Mechagodzilla's.

Kiryu is cool, but the films were repetitive and flat, especially Tokyo S.O.S.

I didn't like Toyko S.O.S because it was boring.
