That skull didn't look at all like an alien skull. Personally, i thought it looked like a dog skull.

And I guess this is an Homage, the Stickman looked like it was based off of the original design for the Predator. This, I actually liked.

I did notice that as well. It was more like pray-mantis/insect alien though. lol.

I think Rodriguez wanted to make this movie enjoyable for the old crowd as well as introduce new people into the audience. Remember, this movie isn't a Sequel, or a remake. It's simply a reboot tied to the original movie.

you could say that about predator 2. nether are realy squeals there just separate storios conected with the first.
