Did anybody else think the homeworld would look more Giger-esque? I expected something more bio-mechanical than primitive?

Why more Giger-esque? This is homeworld of Engineers not Aliens. Besides, Xenomorphs don't have their home. They're bio-weapon.

I thought their world would look similar to the designs of their ships. I will admit that the primitive look does contrast well against the bio-mechanical ships.

it would make zero sense for their home world to resemble it in any way

I'm fairly certain the lv223 engineers were starting their own civilisation on that moon with the mural creature being their cornerstone for architecture , technology and even creation itself .
civil war breaks out based on that premise 😉
