Yeah I much prefer when only the skull is bearly visible beneath the dome.

I kind of think of it as the ghost of the person the alien gestated from, and this is their living reincarnation from hell...

Skullface wrecks it. Removing the eye sockets when they removed the dome saved it.

I agree here, obviously removing the nose and eye sockets was the right choice, otherwise it would be too much of a Halloween look. Human skulls are just so common, but other than that, the skull works under the dome and the rest of the domeless head is imo brilliant and still very unique

"Velociraptor" comes to mind when I look at this.

Never seen a Raptor remotely resembling that (except for the legs) myself.

Just the pose. I dunno, I just imagine a raptor jumping from that position.
