That's a pretty sad story. I'd do the same for my dog although mine wouldn't jump in so fast. But yeah, they should put signs on the highways that lead there and every few miles...these are some really sad deaths.

The locals might know these are acid pits but tourists and passers-byers can get attracted to these exotic death traps.

Anyways that was a very sad story...
