In the end, it will be the electoral college and relative state law.

Things are definitely getting interesting in America.

Hubbs, If you ever get to heading to or wanting to come to the US, hit me up.

Why? you're not wanting to lure me into some weird cult are you? If so then I'm totally up for it! :P

Not you. Your sister and some first cousins maybe.....

Personally, I think registration for the draft and voting should be required before one can qualify for any social programs, tax credits and public education.

It should have nothing to do with gender. It should be about skill and ability.

I actually come down on the side that thinks that women should be kept out of front-line combat roles. Right or wrong, I think their presence there would likely have a detrimental effect on male soldiers when the bullets start hitting the bone.

When the shit hits the fan I don't think it matters. Plus if the training is done well any combat team should preform like a team in battle. It's just a sense that men have to protect women and a fear that they're not strong enough. I suppose I'm old enough to agree that I don't want to see women on the front line but at the same time I do believe the decision should be left up to them. If they can complete the training then there is no reason to deny them.

In the US if you are a male of age 18 or over you have to sign up for the draft before getting any governmental support. It's like the second question the application asks. I think you have 180 days to sign up after turning 18 but I do know that they will hunt you down eventually. f**king scary too since they send a high ranking officer and two mp's to serve and threaten you if you didn't heed the one correspondence they sent you as a friendly reminder.  So I signed up for that shit the week I turned 18. It's odd as hell too because you've gotta do it at the post office of all places.

Oh and another thing about the glamour of the Iowa Caucuses. There was a period from the end of WW2 to the late 90's when the winner of the caucus, be which ever party it may be, went on to become the president of the united states. Some of which were considered major upsets. However there were several reasons for this. First, political polling wasn't very scientific or good back then and a lot of people were not allowed to vote or were outright forced to vote for somebody they didn't like. The caucus also used to happen much closer to general election day. Other states wanted this media attention and started to move their primary dates before Iowa in the past 15 years or so. Iowa in response moved their caucus earlier and earlier until the Supreme Court stepped in and said enough was enough.

Oh they changed the age to 26... I guess that makes sense as it agrees with Obamacare definition of a mature adult.
