Armed Charleston mass-murderer / rightwing terrorist proven to be extremely violent is treated with respect by the police - no guns drawn by the police, no tasers, the police giving him plenty of time for him to get out of the car peacefully with the police slowly escorting him away... compared to countless cases of unarmed black men (and women) given 5 to zero seconds to respond peacefully before the police start drawing guns, buzzing tasers, reverting to chokeholds and whatnot... - NO COMMENT. Any violent act committed by a black person or a Muslim against a white person - COMMENT AFTER COMMENT.
Violence is always bad no matter creed, race etc. It is equally bad no matter if it is a black person attacking a white person or vice versa. There is no argument about it. That doesn't make white privilege as well as bias against blacks less real, because IT IS REAL. A historical fact is that European men colonized the world, they became dominant, grew more and more powerful and shaped the world to fit them, taking over, changing (usually by force) other cultures, structures, ideals and societies; mass slavery, mass theft, looting, genocide, systemized racism, war mongering - all from a high horse, moralizing the Others while trivializing and justifying the suffering caused by the Europeans and their descendants...
Time passes and there is some societal change here and there, slow movement towards real democracy -- which by the way always have been fought against hard by reactionary people with similar views like yours Hubbs as it questions white privilege -- and non-whites, both men and women, get more rights and are steadily becoming more and more influential, rising, eligible to higher positions, but the imprint and impact of those European men taking over the world almost half a millennium ago is a layered cake that our culture and society is built upon, engrained in the back of our minds, showing its ugly face still. You don't get rid of it just like that! Its baked in there. Middle-class to really poor whites get the benefit of a doubt and are given more chances and are treated with more respect compared to middle-class to really poor blacks. It is a fact. Even surveys and tests made by right-wingers come to the same conclusion. They however excuse and justify the whole thing by blaming blacks for it, blaming black people as a whole for being so dangerous and not dealing with it, shaking off the guilt. The rationale is that it is black people's fault when they get shot, tasered etc. Sociocultural status, class, income etc. is of course ignored in their analysis. It's easier to blame people with less power and rights than you, especially if they look different than you, than shifting the focus upwards or at yourself.
Hubbs, you are so full of it. I blew your "arguments" out of the water plenty of times before, and you come back for more time and time again (remember the Martin-Zimmerman debacle, or the Florida cases and countless police brutality cases that rowed up against you?). Same fake concern, false equivalences, unwillingness to grasp the complexity of society and the impact of history and invisible hierarchies, and of course that bonafide brick head troll mentality.
If I thought that you actually had a honest interest in sincerely discussing these things I would gladly do it, but coming back after a long hiatus from these forums seeing that you're still churning out the exact same dung as before, I believe that you're only in it for the trolling. That or you are actually just another contemporary racist - no more no less... Political correctness, Feminism, Islam and black violence being the root to all of the world's problems...
