Its prominent on quite a few things, it will never go away completely, mainly because the people in the south won't allow it. All this fuss has just made things worse because all the people that support the flag will simply fly more of them everywhere they can just to spite the fact it was removed (if it actually does get removed from state buildings). If things had stayed as they were then it wouldn't be half as bad as it will probably become.

The fact the PC brigade are actually trying to have it banned completely from everything is just making more people angry and turning some against that cause. Banning the Dukes of Hazzard car and one channel taking it off the air was a bad move because that will lose support of many folks that probably didn't even care in the first place.

What I find so stupid is the black community keeps saying it stands for slavery, well doesn't the Star n Stripes stand for that too? doesn't our British flag stand for that too? There has been slavery pretty much since the dawn of time all over the world in every race and region, its human history, you can't try and hide it away.

Mississippi just needs to do what we did in Georgia. See, we had the Confederate battle flag as part of our state flag. People got offended, so Georgia changed it so it's based off of the first Confederate flag.





Most people are too stupid to notice that Georgia's flag is still based on the Confederate flag.

The simple fact is that no government should be flying the damn thing because it stands for and was founded on the principle "that all men are not created equal". Which is a complete aberration to the principles of the United States Constitution and general decency.

If someone wants to talk about erasing history then they should ask the Chinese about what the Japanese are teaching their children about Japans actions in WW2 or lack of even regarding that any of it ever happened.
