http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2014/oct/02/teenager-steven-miles-murdered-girlfriend

QuoteA 17-year-old boy with a fixation on the TV serial killer Dexter has been jailed for 25 years for stabbing to death his 17-year-old girlfriend and dismembering her body.

Steven Miles, who was 16 at the time, killed Elizabeth Thomas at his family home in Oxted, Surrey, on 24 January.

After stabbing her in the head and back, he dismembered her legs and arm, wrapped them in clingfilm and put them in bin bags.

The teenage politics student used saws and tools from his father's tree surgery business to cut up her body, which he covered in a plastic sheet.

Obviously he wasn't good enough. I wonder how he got caught.

Maybe he showed up at the local police station, insisting that he worked there as a forensics analyst?

Should have used the industrial brand cling wrap. That or buying 40 boxes of cling wrap tipped somebody off.

Lucky kid.

This is disgusting. I'm glad these bitches lost their jobs.
Only one of them was still a teacher. Also, what's disgusting about it? I can almost guarantee you they were all consenting parties. The only thing I disagree with is the fact that it could cause that one student to get better treatment, which would be unfair to other students.

Except in other parts of the world like the UK, where it's 16.

The reason it's a big deal is because teachers screwing a student abuses all sorts of touchy societal trusts.

The relationship started when the student was 16. Under the law, he's a minor therefore it's statutory rape. They should be punished accordingly.

Its about brain chemistry.  You don't literally start thinking like an adult until you are around 18.

british people are barbaric imperialist  so it doesn't matter what they think

Not rape if he was willing -- and apparently he was, multiple times ◦°˚\(*❛‿❛)/˚°◦ The age thing is stupid and arbitrary -- sixteen years old is fine enough to be f**king around, regardless of who you decide to do it with as long as you're safe about it. Hence sixteen being the legal age of consent in most countries that aren't as puritanical as the US, including all of these: Andorra, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Finland, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Moldova, Netherlands, Northern Cyprus, Norway, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom -- and that's just Europe alone.

The only real issue here is that it was a teacher/student relationship.

those laws are from when the old men could invade other countries and get their willies wet messing with underage girls and not feel guilty.
